The only vinyl subscription that cries with you

A new DIY record subscription service for punk, indie and emo. Every month you'll get a record, a zine, a print, and enough emotional damage to carry you through to your next therapist appointment

Choose your plan

We care about two things—good music and supporting DIY record labels. That's why we work with some of the best labels from the UK and further afield to bring you the saddest, best music we can find.

Each month you'll get a new record, a zine with interviews, track by tracks, articles and reviews, and an exclusive subscriber-only print inspired by this month's record. It's enough to cry home about.

Stack of records
  • It's like having your best friend send you an album every month, but your stressed and anxious best friend doesn't need to do a thing!

    Katie, subscriber since Sep 2025

  • Nothing Sounds Good makes me forget the horrors of my day job, but also helps me cry about it

    Alex, subscriber since Jan 2026

  • I remember when I was in college it was cool to be into bands no one had heard of. Could have done with this zine then. I'd have been the coolest kid.

    Antony, subscriber since Aug 2025

We work with labels like:

  • Specialist Subject Records
  • Alcopop Records
  • Counter Intuitive Records
  • Big Scary Monsters
  • Heavenly Creatures

Made with love by two emo losers

Luke and Paul

Nothing Sounds Good Record Club was started by Luke Murphy (they/them) and Paul Wade (he/him), two huge music lovers who have spent the last 20 years on all sides of the DIY music scene. After spending the last ten years in queer indie-punk band Brutalligators, as well as being part of the promotion collective How To Make Friends Presents, they thought it was time to try and get their love for DIY to an even bigger audience.
